where can i find full information about a wind power plant?

I need to make a project and submit it as fast as i can….i need full info on any wind power plant for example the suzlon one in gujarat will do…or ne plant anywhere in da world…plz plz reply fast…!

Wind is simple air in motion. It is caused by the uneven heating of the earth’s surface by the sun. Since the earth’s surface is made of very different types of land and water, it absorbs the sun’s heat at different rates.

During the day, the air above the land heats up more quickly than the air over water. The warm air over the land expands and rises, and the heavier, cooler air rushes in to take its place, creating winds. At night, the winds are reversed because the air cools more rapidly over land than over water.

In the same way, the large atmospheric winds that circle the earth are created because the land near the earth’s equator is heated more by the sun than the land near the North and South Poles.

Today, wind energy is mainly used to generate electricity. Wind is called a renewable energy source because the wind will blow as long as the sun shines.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of using hydroelectric and wind power?please help?

what are the advantages and disadvantages of using hydroelectric and wind power?

They have sources of energy that don’t impact the earth by mining, burning polluting…etc. the air and water would be flowing anyway, you are just harnessing the energy.

Hydroelectric dams can alter the natural flow of a stream, river or lake.

Wind power tends to present unattractive profiles objected to by people who enjoy the landscape (i.e. a beautiful beach setting is altered when wind turbines are set along the shore.)

Offshore wind farms are said to endanger migratory patterns for birds (but I don’t know if there is any truth to that or not.)

How to get into wind-power field?

I graduated from college 2 years ago, and my degree has proven mostly useless.

I’m 25, and would like to somehow work for a power company maintaining wind turbines. I like the green renewable aspect of it all. Any ideas on how to get a job in the industry?

I assume you googled for power companies that have wind machines. So contact their personnel department and see what they have to offer.

The google wind machine manufactures, contact them.

Consider returning to college to study wind turbines. You didn’t say what your degree was in but if you go into an MA program you will be in the forefront of machine development and will have contacts in industry and management.

If you primary interest is maintaining them, you should find companies that do that and see if they need a trainee.

There is more than one wind farm in the US and there are many small operators.

Science help PLEEEASEE.?

I know people will say I should do my own homework, and I know, and I thank you, but I’ve been in the hospital for the last two weeks from a really really bad allergic reaction and I’m really trying to catch up before the end of the year and I’m having a lot of trouble with everything, so I’d really appreciate some help. (: Thanks.

How do I build wind power generator?

Hi,

I have heard about a lot of people who have build their own wind power generators. I am looking to setup one at my house and was wondering where I can get more information on how to build my own wind power generator.

Any help would be much appreciated

Check out the DIY section of the site below, you can save money while doing something for our environment.

what are some advantages and disadvantages of some energy resources such as nuclear, sola, and wind?

Nuclear
-Clean power, Compactness of fuel (in nuclear) , No enviromental emissions , reliability and big potential for future.
-Nuclear radiactive waste disposal , hazardous waste, high saftey interlocks and protection system, expensive

Solar
-Clean Power, No environmental emissions
-Big surface area requirements, less output

Wind:
-Clean power, No environmental emissions
-less output, Area requirements

is it possible that wind power would be able to energizer a car?

i.e. if there were millions of small miniature fans that are used in wind power were on the car; could the car be powered by them?

The more practical solution to use wind to power a car isn’t with small fans, but with big ones – at least for the time being. Large wind turbines generate electricity, which can be stored in a battery. That battery could be your car’s battery (direct) or it could be used to charge your car’s battery system (indirect).
That’s probably the most likely wind-powered car in the near future.
