explain how wind energy works/is used?
describe how the energy is collected and stored??
what are the ways that your energy could be used? what ways is it actually used?
list advantages and disadvantages of using this energy??
what does the future hold for your energy??
explain how wind energy works/is used?
Most wind energy is used to generate electricity.
describe how the energy is collected and stored??
You are asking the big question here. Right now we do not have enough pump storage units in the USA to absorb the wind power generated at off peak times and put power back on the grid when demand is high.
what are the ways that your energy could be used? what ways is it actually used?
Electricity is used all over the home and businesses.
list advantages and disadvantages of using this energy??
It is clean. It is everywhere
what does the future hold for your energy??
Unless the storage issue is addressed the future is bleak.
Wind moves the turbine and it transforms the wind energy into electricity (http://www.sextonwindpower.com/files/wind_turbine_drawing(1).gif).
electricity
Most are pros such as it is clean energy, not harming the environment, can be used to provide energy to all world (free). Some cons are turbines make annoying noise or kill birds, but this is nothing comparing with benefits

Wind is great when/where the wind blows and you have large areas available to install them. Wind, like solar, depends on nature and nature is not constant or very predictable. The biggest negatives for wind energy is Poor Reliability, area needed, and cost.
Wind turbines need about 6-7 MPH of sustained winds to start generating. Because of this, they only produce power about 30% of the time in most areas where they are used. In many areas of the country they produce less.
We must have reliable 24/7 power, so when using wind power we must keep and maintain the conventional power source as well.
A large wind turbine will produce about one megawatt of power when generating. Each one requires maybe 3-5 acres of area that is not near structures / people.
Storage of power is very costly and inefficient. Transporting power long distances is also very costly and inefficient.
All of the above drives the cost up.

In theory, wind power has no downsides. It’s clean, and it is best used where people don’t want to live anyway (high wind areas). In addition, given a national electrical grid, surplus power can be minimized because (for example) when the wind is blowing in Texas, California needs peak power.
In practice, wind has some definite shortcomings. The equipment is expensive compared to payback. We’re not talking about the generators themselves, which are relatively cheap, but the towers and support equipment. We installed a small wind turbine on our ranch. The turbine itself cost $350, but the tower, wiring, and installation cost over $1500. That’s only to bring it to our already-existing battery-inverter system. The payback period for the project: about 110 years.
Still, wind gives us some clean and reliable energy. We live on the edge of the grid, the first ones to lose power and the last ones to get it back, so backup power is important. And, as technology innovates and tax incentives stabilize, as a business venture wind will make more sense.
BTW, in 18 months our wind turbine has yet to kill a bird. I’ve read that the bird kill thing is a myth, and now I believe it.

Wind power is a very practical solution for energy. There are many kinds of wind turbines, or windmills. They often harness wind and convert it into a pumping system or generate wattage from the wind vane generator
