    You are a moron

  2. wealthmentor — March 1, 2010 @ 10:05 pm

So, we are supposed to spend tons of money that we don’t have even if what some scientists are saying about the need to go green is not true?

THAT MAKES NO SENSE! Sounds like financial speculation. LOL

Study history. We have had a global warming scare before. We have even had a global cooling scare. The earth goes through natural warming and cooling cycles. In fact, the warming has stopped in the last few years.

COME ON! There are more imp things!

3 technologies, Solar Thermal (I have an oven that works made of cardboard and tin foil) Syngas (made in a brick reactor), Ethanol (80% of our corn supply is fed to cows, cows can’t digest the sugars, they actually get bigger when you feed them the ethanol leftovers). Solar thermal heats homes and can cook food. Syngas can power your home, and provide heat anytime. Ethanol can be more efficient than gasoline, with the right engine, and can be run on diesel or internal combustion engines.

i second that – please share.

Thats our problem w/ humanity today – we no longer share or help each other out – no caring – no LOVE.

I’m trying to share as much as I know:

We r fuking lied to daily. We don’t have to be burning any fossil fuels. Energy isn’t a problem! Wars are all bogus, engineered! Marijuana is healthier than sugar. Truth is an obscure thing, Oppression & lie is the norm. Were all Slaves- our masters, the elite, r at least 50 years ahead of us in knowledge, technology, info., secrets & r using all of it against us!

    go here
    truthknowledge. com

not selling anything-just sharing Information-something we no longer do & its destroying Humanity!

@miutube474 I agree that it is smart for consumers to make good choices w/ their wallets if they want to foster a better env. My argument about this being nearly impossible is because there are so many corps. that eventually you will not have a CHOICE to avoid a bad co. for a good one. Compounded to this is the increasingly fascistic control that corporations have on our gov’t.

  7. runmonsta — March 2, 2010 @ 1:24 am

You are an idiot, who are the real accredited climatologists that think greenhouse gas is not warming the world?

  8. nly8nchz — March 2, 2010 @ 2:19 am

If you know of any good renewable energy technology that is not already in production, please share.

  9. miutube474 — March 2, 2010 @ 2:19 am

Hmm, all the patent’s bought up, huh? Gee, I guess we’ll have to find things they can’t patent. They do exist, you know, and they’re widely available for free at your local library. Most of the REAL breakthroughs in energy happened over 100 years ago. If you want a place to start I’d happily recommend one or two.

  10. miutube474 — March 2, 2010 @ 3:00 am

Tell me something… Let’s say that the US refused to legislate environmental controls. Let’s say corporations had NO interest in cutting their emissions. Do you really think you’re so powerless to change them yourself? The true power of Capitalism is your ability close your wallet to companies who don’t share your values and buy from someone who does. (Example: SE Johnson’s Wax Company) If they don’t exist, start your own company and make your values known to your customers.

  11. miutube474 — March 2, 2010 @ 3:32 am

I disagree, but it will take a huge shift in the way we currently think. I can name 3 technologies that can get us there with BASIC materials that are readily available anywhere in the US. People have to forget about financially defunct PV solar, Fuel Cells, and HHO bullshit and rethink what worked well for us and the rest of the world in the last 100 years. The difference today is our ability to mass produce goods and cheap, easy to use electronic controls that they didn’t have 100 years ago.

  12. kd1s — March 2, 2010 @ 4:03 am

A good point is brought up regarding energy use in the U.S. It isn’t because Europe or Japan doesn’t heat/cool their homes, but instead it’s because of our extensive road network and the amount of single passenger vehicles. That’s the biggest consumer of fossil fuel.

  13. panstriato2 — March 2, 2010 @ 4:11 am

This can`t be done without lifestyle and culture change

  14. AJsOwner — March 2, 2010 @ 4:19 am

Could the observed global warming have some more cosmic cause like the nearest star (commonly called the sun)? The Malthusian policies being contemplated to reduce the supposedly ruinous rate of anthropogenic greenhouse gas release are truly frightening. TheRealNews has failed to do its homework.

  15. darktoadthesticky — March 2, 2010 @ 4:36 am

Why do the poor people have to clean up while the rich make no effort? that isn’t clean up, it is a cash grab.

  16. BrutusAlbion — March 2, 2010 @ 5:14 am

yaw u could make the same case for any religion. and then everyone would be converting day to day…cuz u never know for sure

  17. morelshaman — March 2, 2010 @ 5:19 am

Until corporations are REQUIRED to put env. concerns above the bottom line NOTHING will change.
    They own the gov’t – here & thru out the world;
    They own the resource bases & extraction systems;
They own their stock-holders – s.h.s are invested in corps. to make profits not to save the world.
The majority of stocks are not even held by people – they are held in trusts & bundled into mutual funds.
So there is always the excuse that the SYSTEM requires corps to continue as planned & fuck you all.

  18. asalade — March 2, 2010 @ 6:02 am

“It’s not necessary for us to believe it’s necessarily true what the majority of climate scientists are telling us is true. It’s enough that they say it’s true, even if it’s not true. Because that means that we have a non-trivial threath of ecological catastrophy; even if it does not necessarily have to happen, it could happen. And that so therefore we have to take urgent action to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the world.”

YES THAT MAKES GREAT SENSE MR. POLLIN

  19. nly8nchz — March 2, 2010 @ 6:54 am

When Shell & BP are purchasing all of the Renewable Energy patents, that makes it difficult for the Private Sector to bring these energy alternatives to fruition.

  20. GetTheCans — March 2, 2010 @ 7:09 am

I plan on taking my own initiative on making myself energy independent as much as I can. If enough people did it, then there really isn’t a debate on whether we can do it right?

Can’t wait around for the government to do anything, obviously. :P

  21. InTheSticks1881 — March 2, 2010 @ 7:55 am

Cap and Trade is a very bad thing. BTW, it does matter if Global Warming is true or not. The majority is not always right.

  22. hugegiantfrogs — March 2, 2010 @ 8:49 am

The progressively stupid movement is on the loose! I love the principle idea behind this is “…the fact that it CAN happen…” this is called assumption, the tool of presumptuous fools. I agree that we need windmills, why don’t we have windmill farms and windmill jobs ? Oh yeah, the government gave all our money to the banks and auto industry….great, more cars and car loans, and car insurance, and car tax, and inspection stickers, and gasoline, and gasoline taxes. emissions taxes.
