Energy-efficiency is the current topic worldwide. With the conclusion of the Copenhagen conference earlier this week, the energy sector is bound to get more attention. Countries like Denmark, United States, and China are racing ahead in the renewable energy market. Companies like Pacific Crest Transformers is working towards building a clean energy economy. Visit its website for more on this.

Yeah Great Idea!! Let’s have the Chinese Govt. subsidize the production cost of their solar panels so that new Chinese start-up companies like Centron Solar can profit from our heavily subsidized renewable energy market here at home. Thanks Chu for bankrupting our Solar industry in coalition with the Chinese Govt! Ok, so now we just need to get rid of our renewable energy businesses here at home and let the Chinese employ us! Now THAT is being competitive in the Renewable Energies global market

Efficiency of use is clearly secondary to reducing consumption. Quit buying consumer electronics and large flat screen T.V.’s. Lets work on both. Reduce our per capita use and go for efficient generation as well.

Cho looked like he as thinking “Hun me?” Allow DIY solar panel fabrication and installation tax rebates instead of only company certified ones. or to meed middle ground have inspectors grant DIY certifications which in turn gives jobs to inspectors and aids the percent of solar homes. Company based solar installations have been around forever and you see no real rise in solar installations due to price. DIY to save the day.

Obama wants so save the world by inflating our tires.

  15. runman1271 — March 20, 2010 @ 4:16 pm

How many of the 68 million acres actually hold oil? What is the cost of the oil considering all the law suites the oil companies have to put up with.

  16. runman1271 — March 20, 2010 @ 4:38 pm

During the election, didn’t Obama promote energy savings by inflating tires?

Hey; if you don’t like the price of gas or the profit gas companies make, don’t buy gas, or get a Prius and purchase less gas, and/or go purchase LED light bulbs.
Sure it will cost you more money, but just think, you will be buying less energy, and then the govt will increase taxes on energy.

But just think how great you’ll feel about yourself.

    Change and hope.. NOPE
    Obama’s a big DOPE!!!!!!!
    LOL

The internet and search engines have been around for a while. Some of them are Goodle, Alta Vista, Geo-Net, Yahoo, Excite, and most energy websites. This information on oil drillinf ruan rapent!

I still see no proof in your comment.

Just a bunch of babbling from a liar.

    SHOW ME THE PROOF!

Currently, oil and gas companies hold leases on nearly 68 million acres of federal land (both onshore and under OCS waters) that they are not developing.

While coal companies are required to diligently develop their leases, oil and gas companies are not required to do so.

Because there are no diligent development requirements, oil and gas companies can stockpile leases in a non-producing status.

  21. MeLikeGoFast — March 20, 2010 @ 6:44 pm

Actually, allowing oil companies to drill for oil locally will decrease the risk premium that is added to oil from the instability of the middle east region.

Seems like you have a lot to learn about the oil trade.

  22. MeLikeGoFast — March 20, 2010 @ 7:25 pm

I see no proof in your comment.

And Ill repeat again, oil companies do not set oil prices and their profit margins are smaller than most retail organizations.

  23. phillipmarch22 — March 20, 2010 @ 8:18 pm

The industry is drilling on just a fraction of areas it already has access to. Oil co.’s are not drilling on the land to limit supply & drive up oil prices. Big Oil is interested in pumping up prices & pumping up their own profits rather than pumping more oil. Markey co-sponsored a bill to charge oil co.’s a fee for land they hold that’s not producing oil. We should not even begin discussing handing over more public land to the oil companies until they first use the land they already hold.

  24. MeLikeGoFast — March 20, 2010 @ 8:21 pm

You lied about the land available for oil production.

    Show me proof.

  25. phillipmarch22 — March 20, 2010 @ 8:57 pm

What did I lie about? Show proof!
