I would recommend making your blades taller. The blade size to diameter ratio is not balanced. Making your blades 5 to 7 feet taller/longer will increase your output. From my experience your blade length should be near the same size as the diameter of the turbine. So if this is 26 feet wide make the blades 25 to 26 ft tall. This is not exact but I know you’ll get better results then with shorter blades. Just some feedback to help out. Great job!
Interesting. I have been working on a VAWT as well,..but it sits on the ground and is meant to be used where the wind is always blowing,..in places like La Ventosa, in Oaxaca State,…basically it is a large pinwheel built on 3′ plastic disks used in large wire spools.
I’ve seen this design animated the airfoil opens and closes on rotation cool.
