Whether you want it or not, it is our duty to find new ways to help save our environment. Why you may ask? The answer is simple, over the years we have abused the environment. So to help save our precious environment we can do things such as recycle take shorter showers and also use less energy.

The best thing that we can do is take advantage of our natural resources that never run out. Now of course an RV is something that needs energy to run. If you want a renewable, clean and efficient power system for your RV, but you don’t want to have to depend on the sun needed for of an RV solar kit, there is RV wind power products that you can benefit from.

The great thing is that these products allow you to save just as much money as you would from the solar kits, but utilize the power of the wind for energy generation. For your convenience RV Solar Shop carries a full line of RV wind products, which include Air X RV wind generators, RV tower kits, RV wind accessories, and a complete RV wind power package.

Some of the available products also include a complete wind generator and tower package. This is the most expensive kit that they have available for you to purchase. This RV wind power kit features an Air X RV wind generator and a 15′ telescoping RV tower kit.

Next on the list, rated at 400W you have the Air X RV wind generators from RV Solar Shop which offers great power output in a small, lightweight, low-cost package. They have both land and marine models available for you to purchase. Finally you have a full line of accessories for the Air X RV wind generators including tower kits, circuit breakers, stop switches, and AMP meters.

Proponents of renewable energy are always challenged on its practicality. The fact is we’re past that as it has become rather an issue of necessity. As our environment bleeds away at an alarming rate from the effects of runaway waste levels from conventional energy, alternative sources of power must be deployed urgently. The obvious solution is Wind Power Generators, renewable water and sunlight.

The situation is getting increasingly compelling by the day. Given the pollution, political conflict and high prices of oil and gas not to mention the sensitivities of the troublesome nuclear power, few will argue with renewable energy nowadays. It’s within reachomemade wind generator in the United States. A simple solar system here and a homemade wind generator there and pretty soon, the entire neighborhood will join the green movement as more and more people experience the benefits of renewable energy first-hand.

Adopting solar power benefits the environment while doing the user a big favor too. This is because it’s green, renewable and cost much less financially in the long run. The fuel is sunlight which is free or charge and everlasting. Once installed, it’s virtually maintenance free. Nowadays, photovoltaic shingles are fancy enough to actually be an aesthetic feature of the home. Also, they are eligible for government grants and incentives in many states.

Wind energy is currently the fastest growing natural power platform in the world. It’s indirectly a form of solar energy in that wind is temperature-induced air movement as a result of the heat from the sun. Like sunlight, wind is also inexhaustible and basically non-polluting although windmills are known to generate some noise. There are usually regulations in tower height, appearance, safety and noise level to comply with in regard to residential wind power systems. Ample real estate is necessary for the wind tower and the surrounding space also.

The biggest deterrent for people to install residential solar power or homemade wind power into their home is perhaps the capital cost. Truth be told, the initial outlay can be hefty and the payback can take a while, but not if you’re handy. Yes, DIY would reduce the cost to only a fraction of that which is purchased. And it’s not too difficult either as there are ample commercial handbooks and instructional manuals available to refer to these days. Their e-versions can certainly be found in abundance on the internet.

The really affordable way to Earthwind powery is DIY. With proper guidance, it’s easy to build your own Homemade Wind Power.

If you’re interested in making your own Homemade Wind Power, then you need a comprehensive instruction manual.

Who among us doesn’t depend on the power produced by the giant utility companies today? The Industrial revolution brought many changes for mankind, many good, some not so good. Among the best for most of us was power generation, vast production of energy that brought electrical power to your home – to entire cities. There can be no doubt about the convenience of having all the power we need, when we need it. Now, after many decades, certain questions come to the fore about our reliance on this power, and it’s future.

A. Are conventional energy sources going to be sustainable and reliable?

B. Is our water, the earth’s supplies of oil, gas, and coal energy being exhausted?

C. Can our planet survive with this polluting, earth changing energy consumption?

Continuing to use our current power generating techniques could not be sustainable. Much, or most of our natural resources have been vastly depleted, even in crisis in many areas. Reliability on power has suffered with the huge demand, limited resource, we even see cities far away fro others…but trying to beg, borrow, buy, or steal their water. Same is true of oil and gas, or coal. These are all limited commodities that we have treated as if there could be no end to their quantity.

We all know, that at the same time we are using up these precious power supplies, we are basically destroying our earth. Changing major river flows, building dams, drilling wells, enormous power plants spewing out enough pollutants for 10 planets, the list goes on and on. Most nations are realizing the need for serious change in energy production.

Unfortunate in a way, I believe, is that everything we do or need, is economy based. We must pay for all our energy and power needs. The power bills don’t go down, do they! It is difficult for many to afford this basic need – power for their home, their shop, business, etc.

Here is a sound alternative with a bright future worth exploring.

You don’t have to go “off the grid” totally, though many choose to. Learn how to build your own solar panels and wind turbines. It’s not that hard with good instructions, and cost far less than commercial packages, for a solar system or wind mill. You likely see them, from time to time. Solar panels decorate roof tops, walls, back yards, even job or camp sites nowadays. Windmills can be spotted from sunny Arizona to the grape vineyards in California, to the outback of Alaska. In big cities, small towns, or remote “off the grid” areas.

You can’t tell the difference, but some of these are homemade. Almost anyone, without much techinical knowledge or handyman skills, can build thermal panels, and wind turbines. You mainly need to know where to get the basic materials, how to get them cheap, and exactly what to look for. Then, with detailed instructions, diagrams, and a small work space, begin making your own free energy generators.

As you follow the right guide you should be taught not only how to build these power plants, but how to size up what will fit your needs, how to integrate the new power source into your existing power, and where to locate both solar panels and windmills.

Important to know is how to work with the power company, how to get tax deductions for your renewable power generation, even how to sell excess energy you produce. Learn all about how to make your own Green Power below.

I love the earth, like probably most people really do. Going with Green Power , producing our own green energy will not only help save our beautiful planet, but it can certainly benefit us financially, providing a more reliable and secure future. I would urge anyone that wants to save a fortune, and our limited resources, to learn more about our changing world that needs more Green Power

Solar or wind, which should you pick?

There has lately been a dispute between which energy production is best between wind or solar. I think the creation of electricity to be the greatest with the lowest cost to produce the power. If someone wants to create a home powered unit to save on electricity this will provide you several examples to check into when seeing what would be best for your home. First, let’s see how each one creates its own energy.

Solar energy is produced by panels gathering the sun’s rays and converting them into electricity. This is done through using photovoltaics or concentrating solar power. Concentrating solar energy deals with the sun’s energy boiling water and in return creates energy through Stirling cycle engine to power a generator. The power can then be held within a battery bankto create power during night or cloudy days. Battery banks are a band of batteries wired together intended to charge and discharge at times of need.

Wind energy is produced by the turning of blades which is then transferred into energy. The blades act as barriers to the wind and force the wind to rotate them. The power the wind creates to rotate the blades is moved to the wind-turbine’s shaft which is connected to the center of the rotor. The moving of the blades makes the shaft spin and sends the power straight to an electrical generator. That power can then be stored in batteries also.

So which option would best fit your home? analyzing all facts of initial cost, power produced, and long-term usefulness the wind turbine is the best if it can be done at your home. There are a few reasons for this. First, the set up cost to buy a wind turbine is cheaper than purchasing several solar panels for your roof. There are many places to find out how to create a homemade windmill but one of the resources I looked at was this DIY home wind power website. Second, the energy can be gathered during night, day, and cloudy days versus the solar panel being only when the sun is shinning on the panels directly. Third, the long-term value is equal for both solar and wind because either one over time is going to allow you to have free energy. In getting the benefits for having your own power source you will be also helping the world to be more eco-friendly. Both create power in a non-toxic way and aids in making a more eco-friendly power source for the planet.

Adam Renrav is an expert in the field of home wind & solar power. Let him show you how to be energy independent and get huge savings from using <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.diywindpoweredhome.com" title="home solwind powerd power”>home solar and wind power.

Are you looking for ways to lower your monthly power bill by generating electricity at home?

I am sure you have been. If you are like me you are looking for any way possible to help save a buck here or there while we are in these difficult recessionary times. One thing that always gets me is when I see my monthly electricity bill. Seems like no matter what I do to conserve the dang thing never goes down very much! Isn’t that frustrating?

Then I started looking into ways of reducing or eliminating my utility bill. Somehow I got the idea that I could make free electricity at home. The thought of saying good bye to the power man was outstanding.

One of the first areas I looked at was home wind power. I looked at all the fancy websites with those great looking wind turbines and I thought this was the answer. But digging a little deeper I found that there are some very serious risks involved when using one of these home make devices.

Here is the dirty little secret with home made wind turbines.

They can break!

Seems obvious but until you have a turbine blade break off and go flying across the neighborhood you don’t really understand the dangers involved. These devices can only be used in an area where you have good source of atmospheric winds. The problem is that wind is unpredictable and gusts or storms can come and be a real problem for you. Your device has to be made almost perfectly or the blades can shear off from an over stressed condition.

I don’t know about you, but that is not an acceptable risk to have at home around my children.

Then I discovered magnetic power generators and all my problems were solved. These devices are safe, reliable, and don’t rely on any resources to run. They are self-contained and powered by their own magnetic forces.

Best of all, they are easy to make and can be constructed with parts found at a hardware store.

Wouldn’t you like it to stick it to the man at your utility company? Yes, you do!

Now you can generate free electricity with a simple and easy to use guide for making a magnetic power generator at home.

Reducing dependence on commercial energy from foreign oil and fossil fuels is becoming a priority for a growing number of households. They quickly discover that the high cost of solar and wind power make these options unaffordable for most of us. Thousands of homeowners are turning to DIY wind generator project plans to eliminate the prohibitive cost of renewable, clean, free power.

Can the average DIY enthusiast really build their own working wind turbine? If so, is it really practical? Is a homemade wind turbine on par with commercially sold and installed systems? What about parts-are they easy to find?

Actually, the answer to all of these questions is “yes”. The fact is, just about anyone can construct a 1000 watt DIY wind turbine for less than two hundred dollars – and that includes the cost of the instructional materials. You can finish the project in about two weekends and there are many easy sourcwind power of the necessary parts.

So if a professionally installed wind power system costs around ten thousand dollars for the average home, why would a do-it-yourself wind generator be so much less expensive?

Obviously, just like any other retail service you would purchase, the parts have a pretty hefty markup attached. That’s the first thing. Then there are the labor and wages for the company that manufactures the system as well as the one that sells and installs it. In reality, the largest part of the expense is in what I like to call the “know-how cost”. Most people wouldn’t even know where to begin a project like this.

Then again, diehard DIY enthusiasts like you and me already know that with the right instructions, virtually everything that seems complicated to the average Joe is for us simply a matter of following directions. The fact is, anyone with even modest project skills and a few basic tools can complete this fun and rewarding project. The parts are easy to make and/or find and it all goes together rather simply. You see, the process of generating energy from the wind has been around for a very long time and there aren’t a whole lot of different ways to build a wind turbine. It’s time tested and basic.

A wind generator can convert wind power into usable electrical energy for typical home appliances. It can generate sufficient power as compared to the amount of energy produced by traditional fuel sources. The generator is typically composed of three major parts namely the electrical generator, the rotors and the structural support. These components allow the device to capture the wind energy and transform it for home energy use.

If you are interested in having one without having to spend too much, you may want to consider building one of your own. This not only allows you to lower down the cost of the project but also enables you to customize the design to make it appropriate for your home. You can easily find instructional materials from the Internet as well as handbooks on bookstores that can aid you in finding excellent blueprints for you to follow. When looking for manuals online, you may encounter free online guides and e-books sold at cheap prices. Getting the best instructional materials may come from published materials with high quality. This is to ensure that you will get the accurate instructions for your homemade project.

Acquiring the most efficient manuals for your wind generator can cost you to pay a small fee. However, you may consider choosing the best one can save you time and money. It is much better to assemble the equipment on the first try rather than doing it all over again or trashing it out because of substandard or incomplete guidelines.

There are many ways on how you can cut down the cost of your own wind generator. You may want to use second hand parts from online auctions or contact your local junkshop for usable building materials. You may even call main suppliers of these commercial turbines for damaged or worn out parts that you can purchase for a lower price.

The main benefit of using wind generators is that wind is a free renewable energy resource. Once you have completely set up the turbines, you will continuously enjoy the free electricity provided by the device. Since this energy system does not have complex parts, it does not require many maintenance procedures. The construction of the turbines is also very easy which makes it easier for you to lower down your electricity bills at home.

Aside from being cost effective, wind energy is also safe to use and at the same time supports a cleaner environment. The use of wind generators can minimize the use of fuels that expel harmful chemical compounds to the environment. The mechanism used by the wind turbines are safe enough to be used because it does not pose any threat to the environment. Not only does it make your surroundings safe, but also your family as well.

While the technology for using wind power has been with us for thousands of years, the use of this alternative power source for the generation of electricity has never really gone mainstream. Coal and natural gas-fired power plants are efficient and convenient, but they use fossil fuels, and these fuels are definitely finite resources. Wind power is as limitless as the sun and wind.

Wind Power is Coming Around.
Wind is not a common source of energy today but soaring coal, oil and natural gas costs and the negative eco-effects of these conventional fuels have ignited a new interest in alternative renewable energy sources. Along with solar power panels and collectors, windmills can now be seen blossoming in fields across the country and are proving to be a viable source of energy as long as there is a constant enough supply of quality wind.

Are Alternative Energy Sources Reliable?
A wind power generator, as the name implies, is technology that makes electrical energy from air currents. As people who live in windy areas of the U.S. know, wind energy is abundant – and free. But is it reliable enough to provide a constant source of electricity – similar to a modern fossil-fueled power plant? The simple answer – no. Harnessing wind energy can be a great addition to an alternative power generation plan (usually paired with solar), but you should always have an alternative (public utilities) as a back-up for those rare times when there is no wind or sun. Of course, before you consider installing a wind power generator, research is in order to determine if the location for the windmill will get enough wind to make the investment worthwhile.

Physics Is Your Friend.
A wind power generator operates by the theory of Conservation of Energy, or more specifically, kinetic energy. Kinetic energy of the wind or airflow impinges upon the rotor blades of the windmill, then is turned into mechanical energy as the generator is spun. This mechanical energy is converted into electrical power by the generator, to be used immediately, or stored in batteries or capacitors. In the early history of wind power, this rotational energy was used to grind grain and pump water.

Wind Power as a Supplement.
As was mentioned above, it may be totally impractical to live off-grid with alternative energy as the sole sources of power for your home, although there are those who do live completely off-grid. To live completely off-grid, you must be extremely efficient with energy use (and storage), and alway be aware of reserves and future needs. For most alternative energy users, wind power is used in conjunction with other sources of electrical power – solar and grid. During good times, many generate excess power and can sell this excess power back to their utility companies.

Location, Location, Location.
There are a few criteria for placing a windmill on your property. Ideally, your home will sit on a good-sized lot in a relatively roomy rural or near-rural development. The tower height that supports the generator can be critical, and research should be done to determine local building codes. Newer and better technology is coming on-line every day that permits installation of power-generating windmills in ever-smaller locations – always do your research and make sure you’re getting the system for your environment.

Technology Here Now.
Making electrical power from the wind is not a new science, rather it is an continually evolving technology based on actual needs. There’s plenty of information – books and other materials – available now on the topics of alternative power generation. Many new sources of do-it-yourself guides have sprung up lately, and some are of good quality.. With this in mind, always do your research carefully and completely before you commit to any particular system. Then, as you watch the blades of your own wind power generator spin, the satisfaction of knowing you did this yourself (with a little help) can be realized.

I’ve looked at some of the more popular plans on how to build your own windmill. What did I learn? Read this review and save yourself a lot of wasted time and money.

If you are interested to know how to build your own wind power generators, don’t worry; you have arrived at the right place. You can build your own wind power generators at home and for this you do not require any proficiency in any field. It is quite simple and you can build wind power generators below $200, however if you purchase the equipment from market, it will cost you around $2000.

Wind provides us a renewable source of energy and therefore the energy or the electricity available to us from wind is almost free. We require only an initial investment of $200 and thereafter a nominal maintenance is required and we can generate electricity continuously and of course the amount of electricity generated depends on the wind speed.

People are generating electricity from wind and are saving up to 70 percent of their electricity bills per month and every month. If you live in a windy area and your electricity consumption is less, you can even generate surplus electricity from your wind power generators installed in your backyard. Electricity companies are ready to purchase this surplus electricity, as this is far better than the electricity produced from non-renewable sources of energy such as coal, diesel and gas.

You can build your own wind power generators and you will require a few items such as blades, a tower, a battery, a DC motor and a tail. DC motor should be carefully selected as it is the costliest among all other items and most importantly you should go for quality blades. You can get all these items from a nearby store; however a few items you can make yourself at your home. The next and most important part of building your generator is to assemble them and here you will need a guide.
