The two main methods of creating Renewable energy for homes today include wind powered generators and solar panels, assembled on the house’s roof. Using the same technology commercial wind powered power plants use, a home wind generator can produce enough electricity to not only sustain that household’s electrical consumption but contribute to the national power grid. You can choose whether he wishes to remain off the grid , meaning he is totally self sufficient, or keep connected to the national power grid and thus get electricity from the national grid if needed and offload excessive power to it when it exists, by the power company for producing electricity. Home wind generators popularity is growing immensely these days mostly because of the international green trend, as well as the rising awareness to sustainable living and, not less of a factor, the financial crisis drives people to search for new ways to minimize their household bills. Solar panels are considered an expensive method and a home wind generator cost can be as low as 200$. Wind generator plans are available for purchase on the web, mostly as an online book with pictures and step by step instructions – which makes the job considerably easier. Another important factor to note is that wind generator plans can be easily followed even by less technical people, and from my own experience prove to be a fun family project – both educational and practical. After all the fun, you might be able to actually make money from your home wind generator using home wind generators, and contribute to a greener, healthier earth. When choosing which wind generator plans to use it is important to pay attention to several aspects. For instance, not all plans have simple to follow instructions. It is important to select a blueprint that has easy to follow steps, specifically detailed parts and step by step videos. Another important issue is support from the plan writer, as not all wind generator plans allow this. Before taking out on the project, it is best that you calculate the necessary power output for your own home and wind currents in your area. You can do this easily by summing up your Kilowatt/Hour consumption in the last 12 months, and then divide it by 365 to get your average value for a single day. Averagely, a regular household uses about 900-1000 kw. An adequate wind generator plan will detail every needed part in order to assemble your own power generating wind generator. A really good wind generator plan will also have video tutorials – look these up for a much easier setup. All the necessary parts are usually readily available in any hardware depot. Another point worth making is that the DIY(Do it yourself) wind generator approach can also save you thousands of dollars since buying a wind generator from a wind generators company can be extremely expensive. In order to sum things up, a good wind generator plan is the key to a an effective wind turbine and saving a ton of money.

If you are interested to reduce your hefty electricity bills, renewable wind power is the best alternate solution for your home. There are systems that convert the wind power to electricity and which can be utilized by the electrical or electronic appliances at our home.

Although we might get wind in some seasons of the year, however at high altitudes or near sea shores, we generally get enough wind that can generate electricity throughout the year. There are tools through which we can measure wind speed and particularly if the wind speed is above five to seven miles per hour or more, we can generate electricity from the renewable wind power available to us.

Renewable wind power is available everywhere and therefore this is one of the cheapest sources of energy. We can install portable renewable wind power generators in our backyard or in our lawn and can start generating electricity from it. If you install renewable wind power generators and start producing electricity for your homes, you can save up to 80 percent of your monthly electricity bills monthly.

Although there are good ready made renewable wind power generators available in the market but you will need to spend a few thousands dollars for buying those ready made equipments, however you can fabricate these your own with the help of detailed instructions provided to you through a guide. The cost of raw materials required for making a renewable wind power is below $200 and therefore you can save thousands of dollars on fabrication and installation alone and at the same time has huge potential of saving thousands of dollars on your electricity bills annually.

Across the world energy is being used at an alarmingly higher rate. This is due to rapid industrialization and increased awareness in the consumers. However, all this is taking toll on the fossil fuel reserves as they are depleting fast and their usage becomes expensive. Due to the depletion of non-renewable sources from the earth, people are exploring more ways to employ natural and renewable energy sources. Let us take a close look at the advantages and disadvantages of green energy.

The biggest advantage is that the renewable energy sources are unlimited and they can be used for millions of years. On the other hand the non-renewable sources are limited as they are contained in a reserved quantity below earth’s surface.

There are certain countries which are employing renewable sources to generate electricity. This has brought development and employment has increased. Apart from the economic benefit is great. There can be a boost in the tourism industry if the area which is benefitting from the green energy is continuously getting supplied by electricity.

As natural energy relies on weather condition, it is difficult to predict how much will be generated on a given day. But you can always store the excess energy in the batteries when the weather is favourable, so that you use it wwind powerather is not suitable.

Did you know that wind power is one of the oldest energy sources? Its conversion was used to propel the boats in ancient times. Presently wind is used mostly to generate electricity and is one of the most potent renewable energy sources. Wind energy will never pollute the environment and will not have any impact on the climatic changes. To add to this, 1 MW wind turbine will save approximately 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. The wind energy is available abundantly and it is 5 times more than the world’s energy consumption.

Yet another advantage of wind and solar energy is that almost anyone can make equipment that will generate electricity using these sources. You can make enough energy to meet the demand of your home. It doesn’t require having a genius mind to make a wind turbine or a solar panel. There is a lot of information provided on the web to guide you to make your own facility. If you have your own wind turbine, you won’t have to worry about the power cuts. The wind power sector and solar power sector are becoming extremely cost effective with numerous researches being done so as to cut the installation cost and enhance the efficiency of the facility.

There are several countries which have wind power farms or solar power farms. They not only generate good amount of electricity, but they are off the grid. As a matter of fact some of them are supplying electricity to their local grids.

You can construct your own wind turbine or a solar panel in less than $200. There are many guides which can help you easily.

Today, much emphasis is being placed on renewable energy, living green, and the environment, Never before has there been such a strong and growing grass roots movement toward renewable and sustainable energy and environmental responsibility. In truth, this movement is to a significant extent motivated by financial concerns of people who are desperate to cut utility bills by finding ways to conserve energy. However, the end result is the same; much more interest in and progress toward bringing renewable and sustainable energy technology such as wind power into the mainstream.

Wind power is a concept that, like solar power, has been around for a long time and sparsely used. In the last five years, this has changed dramatically. In the Midwest, one can see many examples of eclectic cooperatives purchasing land or at least leasing rights to construct huge farms of wind generators to augment their electricity generating capabilities and to bring down the cost of electricity to their customers. While this is a great development from an environmental aspect, the average customer sometimes does not see a great reduction in their monthly electric bill.

Wind power for the average private residence is possible. While technically possible to go off the grid with wind power, this is not as reliable or advisable compared to solar power. However, residential wind power generators do make sense in that they can significantly reduce one’s electric bill. Unlike the massive towers with gigantic propellers, that one sees the electric cooperatives using, residential wind generators are compact, relatively small and usually unobtrusive.

These residential wind generators can be free standing with their own tower, usually 20 to 30 feet tall, or they can be mounted on a tower which is in turn mounted on the roof of the house. The residential wind generator does face some challenges that solar power does not. The configuration of a wind generator generally requires that the propeller be at least 20 or 30 feet off the ground, especially in a dense residential area. Depending on the neighborhood, some will run into zoning restrictions that might prevent them from having a tall tower on or around their house. However this is the exception rather than the rule. Most homeowners will be able to install their wind generator with a minimum of trouble and expense.

Most wind generators are relatively affordable and can be paid for in the first two years with the savings in the monthly electric bill that they make possible. People are usually surprised by how little wind is necessary to generate a significant amount of wind power. This will vary according to region, but most places will have sufficient wind to generate at least some wind power every day.

What are the advantages and Disadvantages of Using Green Energy Sources?

Nowadays, we are at this time aware of the aftermath of global warming. Luckily, it isn’t too late and we will be able to still vary which explains why many are pushing for green energy sources.

The benefit of using green energy sources is clean so it is unpolluted so it doesn’t emit anything harmful into the air which has an effect on the atmosphere. It is also renewable which suggests we will never run out of it not like oil which is expected to dry up in 10 years or so.

Though green energy facilities are dear to construct, it needs less upkeep so you don’t have to shell out a lot of money to operate it.

It can also bring business advantages to certain areas even boost tourism.

At the same time as these sound good, there are some who say that there are benefits to using such technology.

While clean energy sources can manufacture electricity, how much it can produce is not consistent. This is because we haven’t any control of the weather so if a certain area relies on solar electricity and there’s a weather distraction, it won’t be in a position to convert daylight into electricity.

Building these facilities also requires lots of land so we may have to cut on farmland which is what many are nervous about if more air turbines are to be put up.

Another downside is the fact that some of the replenish-able energy sources can’t be installed in certain areas of the planet. For example, wave energy can only be employed if the waves coming from the ocean attain at least sixteen feet. The use geothermal energy can only be done in geologically volatile parts of the planet.

But if you look at such discussions, places that can’t use one form of clean energy source can be substituted for another. If turbines need more space, they can be installed close to the coast rather than putting these on land. A study shows that you can create more electricity while these are in the ocean.

At the same time as the weather is something we can’t control, it isn’t common-or-garden not common-or-garden that there’s a weather derangement so this too shall pass. If solar electricity is being used and the sun is covered, the emergency generators will be activated and use up the energy that was stored.

The point is that there are tactics round the bitching put by certain individuals which discourage the use of renewable energy sources. In reality, research is continuing to try and harness other means to create the power we require.

A very good instance of this is known as sea thermal energy. Power is generated by harnessing the altered temperatures in the water. It is presently being used on a tiny scale both in Japan and Hawaii.

In the US, only 7% of green energy sources are used all over the country. This was way higher 11 years back and if we don’t have to fret about the price of oil or maybe reduce our reliance on it, we should invest more in this clean energy.

We can get it from renewable energy sources like biomass, biodiesel, geothermal, solar, water and the wind. These are things we have all around us and all it takes is for somebody to exploit it rather than counting on conventional non-renewable means to supply energy.
