These guys have invented and filed for patents on a few of the technologies that make

home rooftop wind turbines easy and a great idea.

Our home wind turbine systems are Wind/Solar Hybrid, and are qualified for government tax credits

of 30%. So, for your investment made in these systems the IRS credits you back 30% within one year of purchase.

You get 30% back from the IRS. So, basically the government will pay for almost 1/3 of your investment

made in your new home wind turbine energy system.

This includes all installation costs and expenses and is a real nice start on your investment payback.

Free electricity isn’t all you get from a new home wind turbine, as soon as your system is up…

Windstalk is leading edge technology but after all it’s just a concept right now.

Wind turbines are the very popular way to generate clean energy with large-scale wind farms springing up all over the world.

However, many residents near proposed wind farm sites have raised concerns over the aesthetics and the low frequency vibrations they claim are generated by wind turbines.

An interesting Windstalk concept devised by New York design firm Atelier DNA could overcome both these problems while still allowing a comparable amount of electricity to be generated by the wind.

Devised as a 100% clean energy generation project and tourist attraction for Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City, the Windstalk concept consists of 1,203 carbon fiber reinforced resin poles, which stand 55 meters (180 feet) high and are anchored to the ground in concrete bases that range between 10 and 20 meters (33-66 ft) in diameter. ~Looks pretty too.

Wisconsin is closing up shop for new wind-power business?

The Illinois Wind Energy Association has sent out a press release inviting wind developers in Wisconsin to relocate in Illinois.

Scott Walker’s proposal to create more restrictive rules for windmills in Wisconsin could eventually lead to a loss of business for the Port of Milwaukee and the Spanish company Ingeteam, which is building a Menomonee Valley plant to produce wind power generators and converters.

Walker has proposed new, more restrictive rules on windmills, which if approved by the legislature, would override a Public Service Commission rule set to take effect on March 1.

The group’s executive director, Kevin Borgia, has said recently “even the strictest county setbacks in Illinois are nowhwind powers extreme as what Wisconsin would have if this bill passes.”

Walker’s Democratic predecessor Jim Doyle had made wind power a priority, and the Democratic-controlled legislature had passed a 2009 bill creating a Wind committee to clarify state procedures in granting wind farm permits, and to limit powers of local governments to interfere with the proposals through zoning or other actions.

Before we get into the technicalities of building a wind turbine, something you should know about DIY wind power is that although it has become a realistic and reasonable source of energy, it is really not efficient enough on a small scale size to compete with more traditional electricity sources. It can be rather strenuous and expensive to construct, but if it is something you really wawind powerinvolved in, make sure you know what you are doing, especially when dealing with wires in your home.

There are several things you have to look out for when you are considering building a wind power turbine, the first being that most residential areas are not windy enough for wind power. The trees and other obstructions diffuse the force of the wind and don’t serve as good surroundings for a turbine. An alternative to this would be to build your wind power turbine on an extremely tall tower, but one would have to consider how his neighbors felt about it first.

Another thing that is important is the equipment you want to use in your turbine.

Primarily, what size you want to make your turbine. And because your blades need to be large in proportion to the energy it is going to put out, the blades need to be about 5 meters long in order to power a modern sized home in a good site (windy enough for the turbine to be efficient). Luckily, you can build these blades by carving wood, or if you aren’t into the labor intensive route, you could easily buy the blades as well. Now, to harness this energy, you need a generator. And for DIY wind power, the best choice would probably be a car alternator.

It obviously will have to be tweaked or modified slightly to up the RPM, 2,000 is about enough, but it will probably be the hardest part of the project. The generator is the core part of building wind power turbines and it can be the thing that separates you from success and failure.

The last thing you have to do is to go out and build it. But a last bit of advice would be to be careful in what you do, and make sure you always know what you are doing. Don’t only put have your energy into this, if you put a lot of effort into it, it will yield great possibilities.

A majority of you must have seen the phrase Renewable energy in your environmental science textbooks as well as nature-based magazines. This type of energy resource is derived from organic products therefore; it is biodegradable and never-ending in nature. Sun, water, blowing wind, biological ingredients and geothermal forces are employed for the creation of this form of energy. In comparison to other conventional types of energies like fossil fuels and petrol, natural energy sources are advantageous, eco-friendly and pollution-free therefore; a large number of people are going for these alternate sources of energy.

Renewable energy is helpful for the unemployed youngsters in terms of offering job opportunities. This is simply because various corporate bodies initiate ventures that support eco-friendly causes and they focus on energy efficiency. If these alternate energy sources are correctly harnessed, numerous countries will get an opportunity to improve their gross annual budget by reducing the expenses of oil and coal import-export. Besides, we can make this world a safe, pollution-free as well as unique place to live in, for our future generations. Instead of wasting cash on purchasing non-recyclable energy resources, executive bodies should concentrate on using these alternate resources!

After all that complicated promotion of green movement, the existing population has become aware of the phrase energy efficiency. Several large organizations even exercise appropriate plans to trim down unnecessary energy consumption. Instead of altering the lighting systems totally, individuals have started utilizing fluorescent bulbs in place of incandescent bulbs, in their offices. Even if you do not have enough funds to use alternate energy like photo voltaic cells, solar water heater etc. you may always turn off unnecessary lighting to save your power consumption.

To discover if the establishment is getting benefits by employing these systems, an energy efficiency consultant department has been set up to carry out audits and research in different localities. They’ve professionals that detect problematic places and find out the average power intake per square foot. If the total consumption is more than the normal value, an immediate action is taken and energy saving retrofit is mounted inside the buildings.

Apart from clipping electricity bills and utilizing renewable energy resources, several agencies utilize exclusively designed vehicles that lower carbon emissions. This further leads to economical advantages in the form of tradable emissions credits. In case you wish to acquire more information regarding this topic, you may consult an experienced environmentalist or, take a look at the online blogs, weekly newsletters and nature periodicals published in your area. Go green this year!

The pioneers began with a vision to develop Israel’s sun drenched desert and Red Sea resort local and established the Initiative to guide the implementation of Israel’s and the worlds first energy independent region. The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative’s Alternative Energy Project includes various pilot projects in solar energy, energy efficiency, education and more. Its Validation Center helps emerging renewable energy products and systems to test for commercialization and its Technology Center is a superb incubator for encouraging startups with innovative technologies to develop. All of this serves to demonstrate a model for solving the world’s energy crisis by engaging and advancing all necessary social sectors and technologies. The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative focuses them on a the cohesive but multifaceted goal that would create an energy independent region energized by vibrant substantial regional commercial development and business opportunities. Its annual International Renewable Energy Conference in February is a world-renown gathering of energy professionals and policy makers who come to discuss how to make a difference via renewable energy-related solutions.
