    @warpathracing
    Since when do the people with jobs because of this project need to be in Cohocton? What about engineers, transportation, avian studies, site construction, etc? There not being 700 people in Cohocton is proof of nothing.

    And those turbines and turbine blades are made in America.

    The towers in Cohocton were importedfrom Korea. And that’s easy to prove. the pictures of the project under construction showsthe company name on the side of the structures.

    Cohocton wind farm has produced zero jobs (in OUR country), and has succeeded in channeling millions of dollars to foreign energy corporations. Bravo Zulu!

    Awesome.

    Ugly is working in a coal mine. Ugly is what coal emissions are for lakes, human health and polar ice caps. Ugly is a nuclear power plant that has dangerous waste you can’t do anything with. Ugly is fighting and dying in a war in Iraq for energy. I think that the wind turbines are beautiful because of what they do and ugly is not an argument.

    You have not begun to talk about all the benefits in what you are doing. There are so many assholes out there who have no clue about the precious earth we are on. More is better.

    Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station is a nuclear power plant on the shore of Lake Erie. Back in 1955 55 years ago they said we will have a solution to the waste problem, they have not. We have the waste sitting on generating plants sites. We have West Valley the one time big solution. Do a google search on nuclear waste, no country has solved the problem. The $24-billion question about nuclear waste storage in Canada is in limbo and it is just storage in a building for 10,000 years.

    Obama now talks about starting new nuclear generating plants and still no solution to the waste. He also says that electricity must be more expensive to make it feasible, which means making coal emissions more expensive. We have the windpower ready to go right now. You stand to really gain in all your good environment, thank you for your forsight in helping to save the planet.

    Thank for sending me your link. We in Allegany County are celebrating April 10, 2010 20 years after the defeat of a nuclear waste dump. The US Supreme Court ruled that states did not have to take title to privately generate waste. Yucca flats has been closed because of corruption of the project. It was a difficult thing to do.
