    packjim56- Where do you live? Different areas have different ratings for average wind speed. It depends on average wind speed, turbine power output, and vehicle battery size. Still, the average doesn’t necessarily mean a useful amount of daily charging current or at the times you need it

    Something else to make consider. If you live in a northern area, an electric vehicle may not have much in the way of heat or a defroster or at least certainly at the expense of useful mileage per charge.

    Yes, I have wanted to try that for some time now. I hope in the future I will get a chance to work on more turbines.

    Super…. On another video, you mentioned that the turbine seemed to work better without the top. Have you considered an open top with a couple spokes to the center for the bearing?

    blades- 8 galvanized steel stove pipe 6 in.
    blades- 42 inch tall
    bearings- 2 treadmill bearings
    blade to wood- 48 L brackets
    wood- 4×8 plywood
    circle- 30 inch cut to circle
    base- 4×6 pressure treated
    frame- 4×4 total 21 feet
    total height – 9 feet
    motor- old treadmill motor
    bolts- lots and lots
